Nintendo Wii

The Nintendo Wii in my opinion, is a very good product which caters for all ages including OAP's. The hand held devices are simple to use in games, one known as "The Nunchuck" - mainly useful in boxing, this game being included normally in the package you receive with the Nintendo Wii, and the other is simply called "The Wii Remote"- which is needed in all games. Nearly all games are active, for example, "Mario Party 8", in this game you can use the Wii remote to twist, turn, lasso and row your way through 6 all new game boards and dozens of mini-games. you can play with up to 4 players at once, so you can challenge your friends. Now Nintendo Wii's are going for at least £300 although i don't think i would pay this amount, we were lucky enough to get one at the price range of £180. I would recommend this to teenagers as it keeps them active not like the PSP or Xbox 360. I would give this product from Nintendo 8/10.

Old school gaming.

Tetris is one of the most popular old school games which is still played by many people everyday. I believe tetris is not just a game but can help improve life skills. I believe tetris helps improve spatial awareness as you have to be able to position different shapes on a grip and slot them into an appropriate gap which the shape fits in to. I also believe that you have to be a quick thinker and be able to think in advance to be good at the game and complete each of the levels. I feel tetris is very user friendly. It is easy to use and suitable for all age groups. Tetris doesn't involve violence like some modern games, I feel this makes tetris environmentally friendly.
